BAYO SOLA AREMU was born in the late 60s to the family of a late Baptist Clergy in Taara, Ogbomoso, Oyo state of Nigeria. He is a graduate from the University of Lagos with both B.A. Ed(Hons) and M.Ed. in English language and Adult Education respectively. After his call into Ministry, he further went to the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary Ogbomoso where he bagged his Master of Divinity in Theology (M.Div.Th) and Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) studies.

Revd.Dr.Bayo Sola Aremu was born in the late 60s to the family of a late Baptist Clergy, Revd.James Olatunde and Mrs Esther Ajeigbe Aremu of Adulojus Compound, Taraa, Ogbomoso in Oyo State of Nigeria. His mother died in 1977 at the age of 47,two days after he completed his Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination. However, his father lived to clock the age of a hundred before he went to be with the Lord in the year 2010.
AREAS OF CALLING AND SERVICE
Revd. Dr. Bayo Sola Aremu is primarily called into Pastoral ministry with great passion for Teaching and Training particularly in the area of Spiritual Leadership. He is a public speaker, a fearless preacher and teacher of the Word,a Counsellor,Prayer Warrior and Deliverance Minister. Revd. Aremu is an author and co-author. He has authored three books and many articles. He is the author of: Divine Freedom from Fumdamental Enemies, Worry is a Killer Disease, Dreams: Your Compass to Your Desired Destination,to mention just three. Revd. Dr. Bayo Sola Aremu is popularly known for “Cup of Faith”, a Daily Devotional that has touched and blessed so many lives all over the world.
PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY
The philosophy guiding the ministry of Revd Dr. Bayo Sola Aremu is rooted in Galatians 1:10 saying,”Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” His philosophy of ministry is primarily to please God and not people. He has always resolved not to be men pleaser but to be God pleaser.
Work Experience
Revd. Dr. Bayo Sola Aremu started working not too long after he completed his secondary school education. It needs be observed that at the end of each stage of his academic achievement (except the primary school), he worked for some time before proceeding to the next level. Having completed his secondary school education he worked as a casual worker in Ajikeola Rubber Shoe Factory in Ogbomoso. He also served as a Sales Representative at F. A. O. Supermarket Nig. Ltd. Dopemu, Agege, Lagos. It was there he gained admission to Ogun State College of Education in 1986. After his NCE Training, he served as a Class Teacher at Niger Pre-Age International Nursery and Primary School, Abesan Estate between 1990 and 1992 when he gained admission into the University of Lagos for further studies. During his service year,he was posted to the Federal Government Girls College,Kazaure Jigawa State where he served as an English Language teacher. Part of his teaching experience after his service year was at Lagos City College Sabo Yaba, Lagos, Western College Onitiri, Yaba Lagos and Accord Consult Continuing Education Programme, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos. In all of these, he was an English Language teacher and tutor.
His pastoral training afforded him the opportunity to work with Great Impact Baptist Church, Bariga, Lagos, First Baptist Church, Ijebu Irawo, Ogun State, Triumphant Baptist Church (Holy Ghost Compound), Akowonjo, Lagos. He also served as the Chaplain of College Baptist Church (Chapel of Mercy), Ogbomoso, Oyo State. Revd. Dr. Bayo Sola Aremu started full time ministry with First Baptist Church Bariga (Now Great Impact Baptist Church) as an Associate Pastor in 2003 when he graduated from the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary,Ogbomoso. He however became the lead pastor of the same church in 2007 after the retirement of his Senior pastor, Revd. S. O. Lawal of blessed memory. He served as the Church Pastor till June 2018, when the Lord called him to the Pastorate of Yaba Baptist Church as the Church Pastor. Since his resumption into the pastorate of Yaba Baptist Church more than six years ago,the Lord has used him to contribute meaningfully and significantly to the growth and development of the Church. Education
Revd. Dr. Bayo Sola Aremu started his academic career at the Local Authority Primary School Tewure (a village of about 24km away from Ogbomoso), where he obtained his Primary School Leaving Certificate in 1977. He further attended U. M. C. A. Secondary Grammar School, Igbeti, Oyo State where he obtained his G. C. E. Ordinary Level Certificate in 1984. Having completed his secondary education, he proceeded to the then Ogun State College of Education where he bagged his National Certificate in Education (NCE) in 1989. His passion for Education got him admitted into the great University of Lagos, Akoka where he obtained his first and second degrees, B. A. Ed (Hons) in English Language and M. Ed in Adult Education in 1995 and 1998 respectively.
In year 2000,having been fully convinced of God’s call into pastoral ministry,Revd Dr. Bayo Sola Aremu proceeded to the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso where he received his Pastoral Training and obtained his Master of Divinity Degree in Theological Education in 2003 and his Doctorate Degree in June, 2013.
AWARDS, DISTINCTIONS AND RECOGNITIONS
Reverend Dr. Adebayo Aremu has always distinguished himself in whatever he does. To this effect, he has received some merit awards. While in his secondary school he was considered the best well dressed student in the whole school and got a prize for it. He had also received such awards as:

- Merit Award for Promoting Church Training Programmes and Outstanding Service to the Lord Jesus Christ, Church Training Department of Gideon II Baptist Association, Lagos.
- Appreciation Award for Service recognition as the Youth President, First Baptist Church, Bariga, Lagos.
- Merit Award in recognition and appreciation of dedication to the progress of the Choir and distinguished service. First Baptist Church, Bariga, Lagos.
- Appreciation Award for Selfless Service and Encouragement, Police Community Relations Committee, Bariga Division, Lagos.
- Merit Award in appreciation of past activities and contributions to the growth of the Academy, Footprint of David Academy, Lagos.
- Award of Appreciation for Promoting Mission/Evangelism and Outstanding Service to the Lord as the Moderator for Gideon II Baptist Association (2014-2017).
- Merit Award for Outstanding Leadership and Immeasurable Contribution towards the growth of Great Impact Baptist Church, Bariga.

- Exemplary Leadership Award in recognition of his exemplary lifestyle and positive influence in the society.
- Recognition Award in appreciation of his selfless service to the advancement of God’s kingdom as the Co-ordinator for the Christian Education Department of the Lagos East Baptist Conference.
- Recognition Award in appreciation of his selfless service to the advancement of God’s kingdom as the Consultant of Gideon 2 Baptist Association of Lagos East Baptist Conference.
- Special Membership Award for Outstanding Service and generous contribution towards the Bible Cause by the Bible Society of Nigeria.
POSITION OF RESPONSIBILITIES HELD TO DATE
Revd. Dr. Bayo Sola Aremu had always been considered for one position of responsibility or the other. He had always manifested the grace of God upon his life as he served in one portfolio or the other. While in the senior class in his secondary school, he was considered for the post of the Social Prefect (Boys) at U. M. C. A. Secondary Grammar School, Igbeti, Oyo State. While he was at Ogun State College of Education, Ijebu Ode he served as the Financial Secretary for the English Students’ Association between 1987 and 1988. In the University of Lagos, he became the Evangelism Chairman of the Baptist Students’ Fellowship between 1993 and 1994. During his service year he was the Financial Secretary to the National Christian Corpers’ Fellowship, Kazaure zone Zone Jigawa State. In addition to this, he coordinated the activities of the Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS) of Federal Government Girls College, Kazaure, JIgawa State. Revd. Dr. Bayo Sola Aremu did not just become the Church Pastor of Great Impact Baptist Church Bariga in one night, he had served in various capacities before the Lord considered him for a higher calling. At Great Impact Baptist Church Bariga, he had served as the Assistant Church Secretary, the Youth President, Youth Pastor, BSF Adviser,a member of the Living Praise Choral Group and a member of the Church Executive Committee. While in the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary Ogbomoso, Revd. Dr. Bayo Sola Aremu was appointed as the first Executive Secretary of Masters of Divinity (M. Div.) Fellowship.
In 2006, he became the Chairman of Evangelism/Mission Committee of the Gideon II Baptist Association which gave him the opportunity to become a member of the then Lagos State Baptist Conference Evangelism Committee. In the same year he was appointed to serve as the Auditor for Gideon Baptist Ministers Fellowship. Between 2010 and 2013,Revd. Dr. Bayo Sola Aremu served as the Assistant Moderator of Gideon II Baptist Association. Coupled with this he was also the Chairman of the Nominating Committee of Gideon II Baptist Association and a member of the Finance Committee of the same Association. Between 2014 and 2021, he served as the Moderator and the Consultant of the Gideon II Baptist Association.
At the Conference level, for more than a decade,Revd Aremu has been a member of the Executive Council of the Lagos East Baptist Conference. He served as the Coordinator for the Christian Education Department of the Lagos East Baptist Conference and currently serving as one of the members of the Board of Trustees of the same Conference. In addition to the above,Revd Dr. Bayo Sola Aremu also served and still serving at the Convention level. He previously served as one of the members of the Advisory Board of Baptist Girls Academy, Obanikoro, Lagos. He was and still a member of the Central Planning Committee for the Nigerian Baptist Convention “Night of Wonders”. He is currently the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Christian Education Department of the Nigerian Baptist Convention. To God be the glory.
MARRIAGE
Revd. Dr. Bayo Sola Aremu met his wife,Pastor Mrs. Abigael Oluwatoyosi Aremu, around 1993 in a developing village called Bamikemo, a little distance from Ile Oluji in Ondo State where her father was a church member of Late Baba Aremu’s Church. The casual meeting ended up in courtship relationship some few years after and in the year 2000, precisely the 23rd day of September, the courtship relationship was consummated in holy wedlock. This union has, to God’s glory, produced Victor Oluwamurewa Aremu and many other spiritual babies.
Pastor Mrs. Abigael Oluwatoyosi Aremu is a born teacher. She graduated from Adeyemi College of Education and Ondo State,Ado Ekiti(now Ekiti State University). She has taught in several schools both Primary and Secondary. While in Ogbomoso, she had served as Headmistress of a school for some years before she got married.
In Lagos she taught at Reagan Memorial Baptist Girls School Sabo-Yaba, Wuraville Nursery and Primary School Pedro and CIFMAN COLLEGE, an International Secondary School at Yaba, Lagos. She currently teaches at Western College, Onitiri, Lagos. Mrs. Aremu had served as the Financial Secretary and the President of the Gideon II Pastors’ Wives Fellowship. She is also a trained pastor from the Baptist College of Theology,Agbowa.
