LIVING A VICTORIOUS LIFE IN CHRIST

It is one thing to gain victory,it is another thing to retain it and live in the reality of it. While some live in the victory that has been purchased for them by the blood of Jesus on the cross of Calvary, some others are living in defeat. To live in victory is to appropriate the victory that Jesus won on the Cross into one’s life.

The victorious life in Christ is a life of victory over SIN, SELF and SATAN; a life of freedom from the power of sin as well as freedom from the penalty of sin; a life that is not only “reconciled to God by the death of His Son”, but a life that is also “saved through His life (Romans 5: 10).

The enemy has been defeated and his works, paralyzed. Jesus has already done it. He is not trying to make us victorious today but His death and resurrection has already made us victors. We are not trying to conquer; we are already more than conquerors in Him.

Therefore,no longer should believers in Christ struggle with the devil, with fear, sickness, disease, failure or any form of evil because Jesus has defeated the devil and won the victory for us on the cross. Your victory over Satan, his cohorts, and their evil works of darkness was announced when Jesus defeated and paralysed them in hell. You celebrated that victory when you found out that you were in Christ in His triumph over Satan and the cohorts of hell. Now, you are more than conquerors;living in the victory of Christ.

Victory in Jesus is real and attainable now because our Lord Jesus has defeated Satan and every evil power of the world. As long as we remain in this fallen world, we will still have struggles to overcome and battles to fight. However,living in Christ gives us the assurance of victory. We can achieve this victory as we rest in Christ and trust in Him to triumph for us. While we remain on earth, the Lord reigns victorious over all our struggles,battles and challenges.

Beloved of God, living a victorious life requires faith in Christ. In other words,we are enabled to live a victorious Christian life when we,on daily basis,exercise our faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Bible says in 1John 5:4-5 that “…everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God” If you believe in Jesus,you can live above the world. You can overcome the power of sin,you can as well triumph over evil. When faced with challenges of life,always remember that your name is VICTOR,you are on the winning side.

Prophetic Prayer

I pray for you today:

1. You are a victor in the name of Jesus

2. You shall not lose your status and position in Christ

3. In all challenges of life,you will gain victory

4. You are migrating into the winning camp right now

5. Go and win that battle.

So shall it be in the name of Jesus. Amen
